Rodeo Wagon Catering is a division of Rodeo Wagon Foods LLC. The company started as a little food cart on the capitol square in Madison, back in 2016. Then in 2018, we grew into a business model that focuses on providing enjoyable experiences for our customers at corporate cafe locations and our clients of hosted catering events. The Catering division provides service to weddings, special events, and corporate gatherings.

JOB ROLE & DUTIES:

The Catering Manager & Chef role has a lot of room for growth and flexibility, depending on hiring the right candidate. Your job would be to handle all the day-to-day tasks of operating a catering business, with the support of the Rodeo Wagon Admin team. This position will be part-time and hourly for the first 60 days during a probationary period but will be full-time and salaried after the probationary period. We are looking to bring someone in late March/early April. This role will be shaped by the candidate who fills the position.

Your duties include but are not limited to:

-Working closely with the admin team to coordinate ordering weekly ingredients for upcoming events

-Feed parties ranging from 50 - 150 people

-All meal prep and day of cooking in a shared kitchen space

-Transportation to and from kitchen space

-Set up, serve, and clean up for all catering events

-Managing a small catering team

-Managing your and your catering team’s time & schedules

-Open and regular communication with the admin team

WHO YOU ARE:

You are a self-starter who has vast management and kitchen experience. You are organized and enjoy taking ownership of projects. You have worked in catering before and even have the dream of opening your own catering business one day. You understand the importance of consistency and your friends say you’re incredibly reliable. You are creative, love cooking delicious food, and understand the economic side of the restaurant and catering industry. You are excited about the opportunity to run the day-to-day operations of a catering business but love having the extra support from an established company.

NECESSARY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

-5+ Years of Management and Cooking Experience

-ServSafe® Manager Certification or plans to earn certification with employer help

-Knowledge of CDC and Dane County Food Safety Health Code

-Valid driver's license with safe driving record meeting company standards.

-We will provide a company vehicle, but you must remain insurable under our company's liability insurance policy.

-Strong professional communication and computer skills for ordering systems, company emails, and excel programs.

-$20/hour during the probationary period

-$40k-$50k salary after probationary period
