Commercial Landscape Production Manager

The primary role is to manage all aspects of commercial landscape installation jobs. Additionally, this position will also assist with residential installations as well as help maintain nursery and inventories.

The Commercial Installation Manager will be primarily responsible for overseeing and helping the commercial install crew on large commercial install jobs. The Manager will work with, and monitor crew members, to ensure their duties are carried out to the fullest and jobs are completed following specifications. The manager will also be responsible for developing and maintaining excellent quality and proper communication with/between the landscape staff, the customer, general contractors, architects and the purchasing department regarding scheduling, ordering, changes, site conditions, etc. before, during and after the installation of projects.

Duties:

1. Flexibility to work a varied schedule due to business levels and industry demand sometimes including weekend, holiday and hours business is closed.

2. Oversee all landscaping phases of the jobs to make sure jobs are installed per spec and with top quality.

3. Ensure sound landscape procedures and company policies are followed throughout the entire job.

4. Assist landscape crew with installs

5. Help with daily scheduling of crew(s)

6. Monitor schedules for adjustments as needed.

7. Attend Weekly GC on site meetings.

8. Ensure Safety requirements and procedures laid out by GC are followed throughout the entire job.

9. Meet with GC’s and clients before, during and after jobs to make sure everything is done to specifications.

10. Complete daily and weekly logs for GC requirements

11. Help provide solutions and alternatives when jobs don’t go as planned.

12. Oversee Irrigation contractor for coordinating, implementing, and installing all phases of irrigation system within specifications.

13. Oversee all division truck and equipment maintenance to assure trucks and equipment are always in good working order and is maintained as required.

14. Perform on the job/in-house training for crews to improve skills and safety awareness.

15. Schedule material deliveries for jobs

16. Find and assist with securing rental equipment when needed for jobs

17. Assist with finding and purchasing landscape materials

18. Overseeing Nursery and holding yard to ensure investment stays healthy and alive

19. Assists President in development of long- and short-term goals, employee development, budget, purchasing, and training for landscape division

Other Duties:

1. Assists in repair of vehicles and equipment as needed.

2. Participates in snow removal processes. May require evening, nighttime or holiday work in poor weather conditions.

3. Help other divisions as needed if necessary.
