# 1321 Chief Accounting Officer Job Description

Description: Client is looking for a Chief Accounting officer to join our growing team. CLIENT is a new US Electric Vehicle company transforming commercial delivery networks for the e-mobility businesses of today and tomorrow. Our technology is designed to deliver the most reliable and most efficient combining integrated deep data analytics, customization, and sustainable engineering. For this position, the CAO MUST have a CPA and SEC exposure.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish and Provide leadership and support to accounts receivable and accounts payable departments.
  • Expert knowledge of financial activities, policies, and processes, including multi-currency consolidations, SEC reporting, and Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Experience leading SOX implementations and maintaining effective internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Build the technical infrastructure and control environment to support the company's growth and meet public company requirements.
  • Own, develop and manage the company’s Accounting and ERP systems.
  • Leverage technology to build scalable/sustainable processes to create efficiencies, streamline accounting operations, and improve the stakeholders’ experience.
  • Continually evaluate and optimize month-end close processes, striving to deliver process automation, improved accuracy, and higher customer service.
  • Establish strong relationships with inter-departmental peers and be the go-to accounting source in the Company.
  • Compile and analyze financial reporting packages, provide insight to senior management.
  • Communicate and explain financial metrics to senior management.
  • Manage the preparation of payroll for personnel.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA Certification; continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements
  • 8+ years’ experience in a senior accounting position
  • Knowledge of professional accounting software
  • Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements
  • Extensive business experience and strategic knowledge
  • SEC exposure
