Job Description
Summary
The Office Assistant is responsible for the administrative/ financial side of the Sew Yeah Quilting office. The Office Assistant will need to meet many deadlines, and maintain a high level of organization (in regards to meeting said deadlines, maintaining company records, tracking/ filing business licenses, insurances, etc.), and report progress/ obstacles to his/her direct supervisor in regular meetings.
Duties and Responsibilities
Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain up-to-date insurances and business licenses
Maintain a spreadsheet/ tracker of all renewal dates.
Review/ make corrections to POS system
Review/ make corrections to online orders
Solve issues relating to the store (e.g., security camera malfunction, security system login issues, etc.).
Provide reports and updates as requested by supervisors.
Order office supplies and maintain items in stock.
Financial Responsibilities
Enter new employee profile information for payroll
Process bi-weekly payroll
Cut/ mail vendor checks
Reconcile bank feed in QBO
Provide financial reports to direct supervisor
Other Responsibilities
Work with all departments (as needed) in resolving issues, gathering data/ reports, and/or assisting with issues on the floor/ front end.
Promote the Sew Yeah values by modeling and providing encouragement to all team members, in all departments.
Assist with company special events (planning/ ordering supplies, and execution of events, as needed).
Participate in all agency meetings and other required meetings.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures and model them for other team members.
Maintain team member, and client, confidentiality in all circumstances as required by professional ethics and legal requirements.
Other duties as assigned by supervisors

Education
High school diploma or GED
Experience
Experience in a management/ supervisor role- preferred
