Day Staff Provider

Family Seeking Direct Service Provider (DSP)

N.H. Seacoast Family seeking a positive, outgoing and compassionate person to provide one-on-one assistance for a happy, young adult male, who is developmentally disabled and blind. Individual is ambulatory with walker. DSP will work directly with the family and provide meaningful experiences within the Greater NH Seacoast Community.

You will meet the client at his home and transport, using your vehicle, to various activities set up by the family and you, the Service Provider. This includes Music Classes; Swimming at a local indoor pool; exercising at a Gym ; Bowling; Horseback riding and Volunteering. You will need to assist client in all aspects of daily living skills and have a caring and understanding outlook. Sensitive/positive communication skills are needed to develop a good relationship as this person has limited communication skills. Training is included to ensure the DSP is adjusted and comfortable with client.

Starting pay of $16.25/Hr. 29 hrs/wk, Monday thru Friday, Days flexible; Paid Mileage at 40 cents/mile, Paid Holidays and 10 Vacation Days.

Requirements:

High school degree or equivalent.

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Have a driver license with a personally insured vehicle capable of transporting client.

Must submit to criminal record and motor vehicle check.

Experience or training in the healthcare field preferred.

Additional Requirements:

Must be able to take client into swimming pool.
