Switchboard Operator

Position Summary: The Switchboard Operator is responsible for the computerized scheduling, confirming and rescheduling of patient appointments for each provider and/or service based on the degree of medical acuity, scheduling guidelines and provider availability. Additional duties include routing patients to the appropriate person, communicating schedule changes, taking messages according to established protocol, recording and updating patient demographic information.Work Experience: One-year experience as an operator or similar position answering multi-line telephone preferable. Experience in medical office setting and/or other customer service experience is desirable. Good attendance is essential for this position.
