NORPAC Fisheries Export is seeking a reliable individual who enjoys working in a team-oriented environment. Our ideal candidate will have a friendly disposition, enjoy interacting with people in a fast pace environment, and have good communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Receive fish delivered to the Plant; unload products and enter inventory into tracking system and generate master bar code. Tag and match fish to the orders and store in designated areas.

Unpack, inspect fish for quality, ice down fish, and identify for cutting.

Seal product in plastic wrap on cryovac machine.

Pull and accurately issue and scan product(s) for shipping.

Assemble, line, and pad boxes, crates, and containers.

Pack products for shipment ensuring accuracy and quality of product being packed and shipped.

Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of supplies and/or work areas in accordance with Company sanitation guidelines and food safety standards.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Clean and maintain designated spaces both inside and outside of the Plant on a daily basis.

May be assigned to assist buyer (scan purchases into tracking systems, loading purchases into bins, assist drivers in loading fish onto truck for delivery).

Performs other related duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:

Must be able follow directions, demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment.

Must be able to work as part of a team, communicating effectively with team members.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Ability to deal with prolonged exposure to cool climate control environment.

Must be able to read and understand English.

Ability to read and interpret orders.

Basic math skills (manual adding and subtracting).

Attention to detail.

High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.

1-2 years of experience working in food service and/or manufacturing environment preferred.
