Information Technology is one of the fastest-growing teams within UWM and we need a rock star Coach to get our team members up and running and functioning at the highest level! The QA Technical Coach will be responsible for the progression of team members in our Quality Analyst role. It will include coaching of our QA in everything from technology (Selenium, Postman, Jmeter) to process and architecture. It is an opportunity to leverage your technical and UWM experience to help make our QA team as strong as they can be. We're looking for someone who knows UWM technologies and architecture and has a desire to help others.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Evaluate sample work outputs and provide feedback
- Schedule and conduct coaching sessions
- Create and communicate action plans for improvement
- Maintain records of evaluation and coaching for each team member interaction
- Create and execute a team member interaction schedule to ensure interactions with all team members
- Continuously gather new best practice work samples and provide opportunities to help grow team members through training and coaching
- Acts as an additional resource to assist team members in solving problems
- Observes development teams and agile rituals to provide continuous improvement feedback
- Make recommendations on optimizing processes and leverage the latest techniques and technologies
- Ensures teams are following practices and standards
- Collaborate with senior leaders to establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Advise on new training opportunities and gaps for the training team to prioritize for new or enhanced training material
- Proactively identify trends using data and feedback to address skill and capability gaps
- Knowledge of test methodologies and when to practice them
- Functional Testing (Unit, Integration, System, Smoke, End to End)
- Non Functional Testing (Performance, Security, Usability, Compatibility)
- Knowledge of Mobile Testing
- Knowledge of applying different test approach based on the project scope and risk
- Utilizing Risk Based Testing Approach concepts based on project needs
- Expert in API testing using Postman
- Experience in developing scripts using Selenium/C# framework
- Experience in writing tests using behavioral driven development framework (example SpecFlow)
- Expert in defining test strategies for simple and complex projects spanning enterprise systems
- Expert in identifying key metrics to report on during Test Execution
- performance monitoring tools (example Dynatrace, AppDynamics)
- Experience with Microservices testing
- Experience in writing advance queries in SQL using joins
- Minimal Experience creating and running Performance Test using tools such as - Load Runner, Jmeter
- Strong work ethic
- Good communication and team-building skills
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills
- Strong coaching and feedback skills
- This position requires on-site attendance
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Experience working in TFS as test management tool
- Experience working in Visual Studio IDE
- Experience leveraging AI tools for testing in production to simulate real world scenarios
