Stott and May has partnered exclusively with a private charitable organization based in the Bay Area, seeking a Salesforce Architect to support them in reaching their goals through effective utilization and optimization of the Salesforce platform and its relationship with other systems and applications. With use cases spanning grants management, contracts management, and constituent relationship management, the foundation has a highly customized enterprise implementation of Salesforce (Sales and Community Cloud), with extensive business automation, custom code, and integration with external systems such as DocuSign CLM, Sage Intacct, and GuideStar using Informatica and Salesforce custom API, as well as the use of AppExchange solutions such as Blackthorn Event Management and Campaign Monitor. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, a skilled communicator, and a team player with deep hands-on experience in development and administration of an enterprise-level Salesforce instance highly integrated with external systems. This role reports directly to the Deputy Chief Information Officer. To be successful, the postholder will come with:

  • A bachelor’s degree required in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or other technical degree or equivalent work experience
  • An extensive portfolio of software development experience with a clear record of success
  • Salesforce certification (Inc. Platform Developer Certification as a minimum)
  • Robust experience developing custom solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex Classes, Apex Triggers, Visualforce Pages, SOQL, and Lightning Components
  • Deep experience developing APIs, integrations, and microservices using a high-level language such as Java or C#
  • Hands-on experience with the Lightning Web Component framework
  • Experience with relational databases, data models, and data integration tools/processes
  • Experience using Salesforce tools (ex: Data Loader, IDE, Workbench, Ant, VS Code)
  • Capable in assessing the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems, and processes
  • Demonstrated experience architecting services integrations with Informatica or other data extraction, transformation, and load solutions (e.g., IBM, MuleSoft, Oracle Fusion, Dell Boomi, Progress Sonic, etc.)
