We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer with mobile experience with a strong understanding of design patterns and concepts focused on interface driven development. The desired candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, be able to think outside the box and work independently without supervision. Primary Responsibilities:- Participate in all phases of software engineering including requirements, design, implementation, and testing of mobile apps
- Design and implement product features in collaboration with architects, product managers and stakeholders
- Design reusable components, frameworks and libraries
- Research new technologies and have the ability to implement and disseminate to the team in a productive and collaborative manner.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or closely related field
- 3+ years of experience in Java
- 3+ years of experience in native Mobile application development (Android preferred)
- 3+ years of production development experience (Deploy and Maintaining Applications)
- Understanding of Google’s Human Interface Guidelines and UI construction
- Experience with Android APIs
- Experience working in a team
- Willingness and proficiency to mentor peers in new technologies
- High attention to detail and ability to work with little to moderate supervision
- Excellence in communication with peers and non-technical colleagues
- Excellent understanding of OOP and its main principles
- Experience with RESTful API, JSON, and XML
- Experience packaging applications for Enterprise distribution
- Knowledge of best practices to manage updates to existing applications
- Experience with Automated Builds and CI
- Experience with Cryptography, Authentication, and/or other security
- Vehicle Automotive protocol or low-level network protocol development experience a plus.
