Title: IT Business Analyst (Asset Management)Location: San Francisco, CAThis position will be a member of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco Information Technology (FRBSF - IT) Asset Management Team responsible for the centralized IT Asset Management function. This individual must demonstrate attention to detail and an ability to evaluate and analyze complex information in a timely manner. The individual will work closely with IT teams, Business Groups, and end-users to ensure the proper accountabilities and controls are in place to ensure compliance with written guidelines and licensing requirements.Highlights of Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day asset management life-cycle support for procurement, deployment, maintenance and disposal of IT assets. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of asset identification, tracking and record attributes for improved reporting and analytics.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of IT assets and inventory records. Conduct and/or facilitate inventory activities as required. Verify the inventory of assets and provide status reports on the inventory and changes on a scheduled basis.
  • Support projects and programs to enhance Asset Management function's ability to manage IT assets as well as ensure compliance with applicable local and System policies and written guidelines, including licensing requirements. Develop and update process flows, diagrams, and narratives.
  • Understand the impact that asset changes and replacements have on the overall business case for asset management and solution.
  • Acts as a liaison between IT Asset Management and Business Groups and serve as a subject matter expert on any asset inventory related initiatives, communications, validation of proper disposals and any other issues.
  • Engage various stakeholders such as IT teams, Business Group Liaisons, and end-users to help collect, coordinate, and manage assets. Manage the administration of the status reporting, metrics and benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with P C (HR), Business Group Liaisons, and IT Teams to define asset needs and serves as the interface during on/off-boarding, renewals and upgrades to ensure the assets are handled and recorded timely and efficiently.
  • Assist in monitoring and forecasting of IT asset inventory and prepare reporting on a periodic basis for management and Business Groups.
  • Work closely with the Financial Management team to ensure proper and timely payment processing and budget reconciliation.
  • Identify impacts across teams and coordinate across senior levels to handle dependencies and potentially ambitious priorities.
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, information technology or any technical related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Background and understanding of IT processes and infrastructure, including but not limited to IT Asset Management with a focus on inventory life cycle, practices and Management.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex topics.
  • Strong project management, analytical and research skills with a demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception through completion.
  • Good time management skills. Ability to manage or participate in multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Possess a professional attitude and work ethic in addition to the ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with multiple stakeholders as well as independently as a catalyst with minimal guidance and supervision.
  • Ability to deal with unforeseen situations and demonstrated problem-solving skills with a high level of initiative and attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Excellent business communication skills to effectively document results, instructions, and recommendations, with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate basic technical information verbally and in writing to non-technical personnel.
  • Strong proficiency with data analysis and reporting skills. Experience with data visualizations hosted on web-based platforms e.g. Tableau, and Power BI
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in providing product and asset procurement and management.
  • Experience with MS Excel, MS Access, or similar data analytics tools.
  • Experience with CMBD, SCCM, or other Asset Management tools. Experience with ServiceNow is a huge plus.
  • Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM) a plus.
