We are accepting applications for a full time Freight Helper. Qualified applicants may pick up an application at 664 Kakoi Street, Honolulu, or 94-360 Ukee Street in Waipio between 8am to 4:30pm, Monday - Friday or reply to posting. Applicants may also apply online at www.pacifictransfer.com.

Duties

1. Load and unload freight from containers to and from terminal floor, which involves lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling or operating a forklift. Completing corresponding paperwork for the same.

2. Load / unload delivery trucks, either manually or with forklift, completing corresponding paperwork for the same

3. Assist drivers with deliveries on the road

4. Follow instructions from Sr. Checker and adheres to all company policies and safety rules

5. Maintain warehouse and facility cleanliness by using tools such as a broom, dustpan, and pallet jacks as necessary

6. Must wear company-approved uniform, including required personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing the Company and when delivering service to customers

7. Manual labor as assigned

Qualifications; (R) Required or (P) Preferred

Experience: Minimum 2 years related business experience (P)

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (R)

Skills: Fluency in English (oral and written) (R)

Effective oral and written communication (R)

Forklift and electric pallet jack certified (R)

Ability to listen and follow instructions (R)

Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. (R)

Good attendance and dependability
