Position Summary - The Manager in Training is a member of the store management team and performs the functions that directly support the day-to-day store operations, all customers, and salesmen. Continue your professional development to achieve future job progression. Under the tutelage of the current store, management excel in your existing position responsibilities while training through day-to-day involvement of the logistical and physical operations of the store.

Responsibilities - Customer Service, Operations, and Logistics:

-Direct service & support activities, including stocking quantities, procurement, job-site delivery, contractor/job records management, equipment maintenance, order fulfillment, and more, are included in the MIT's responsibilities. Maintain a productive relationship with key customers and sales reps; support management with in-store sales & operations, staff leadership, and fiscal/material management and asset protection.

-Unwavering, exceptional customer service delivery as well as respectful, kind treatment of customers and peers alike.

-Possess skilled knowledge of Rodda and industry coatings, related sundries, and equipment

-Order processing, accurate tinting, and shaking of paint recording information in customer color history files

- Proficient function of POS system, i.e. processing of sales, product inquiries, pricing, as well as

all online programs, systems, and platforms.

- Security and protection of company and corporate inventory and assets

- Inventory control; aisle /slotting, cycle counts, stock ordering, write-offs

- Shipping and receiving duties; putting away, rotating and stock, etc.

- Safely operate equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, loading and unloading of vehicles

- Participate in keeping the store organized, clean, tidy, and inviting

- Ability and willingness to participate in all tasks and responsibilities. Be successful through the coordinated efforts of other team members and the sales representatives working with store location

-Demonstrated understanding of “good cost-center management practices," i.e., JDEdwards, ordering, shrink control, receiving, transfers, expense control, samples, write-offs, product and facility security, facility and vehicle maintenance.

To be considered, qualified applicants will possess strong knowledge of paint selection, matching, and tinting; knowledge of inventory management, store organization and operation; display a capability for leadership, training, and employee development.

A commitment to “positive results” on issues and opportunities is a must, as your actions will model the best practices to be a supportive team member. History of personal reliability in your current position is an absolute necessity, as well as a must be physically able to do all store work, possess a valid state driver’s license, or within 30-days (if transferring from out of state), and continuously meet Rodda’s driving standard.

Job Requirements:

One year of retail -OR- industry experience

Ability to read and write English, plus basic math skills

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift merchandise up to 75 lbs. to waist level on a consistent basis

Current and valid driver's license in the state where applying

In addition, you must be:

18+ years old

Able to pass a criminal background check/driver's abstract

Flexible in your schedule for available shifts
