Operations Assistant for busy Industrial Sewing Company

Beowulf Industrial Sewing is looking for a full time Operations Assistant to join the team! The ideal candidate would have prior experience in business administration as well as a desire to work with their hands and assist with the day to day needs of a small, but quickly growing sewing shop.
Essential Duties:
- Maintain and cultivate professional relations with suppliers/vendors, contractors and clients.
- Follow up on past bids via phone calls/emails.
- Read and respond to emails to provide support to clients and vendors.
- Maintain QuickBooks and send/follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Supply ordering and inventory tracking.
- Sewing/production support.
- Social media account management and outreach.
Skill Qualifications and Requirements:
- Familiarity with QuickBooks is required.
- Background in business administration.
- Some customer service experience is preferred.
- An interest in learning the textile industry and the basics of sewing is preferred.
- Ability to work with basic hand tools and systems of measurement is required.
- Strong math skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Detail oriented.
Working/Physical Conditions
- Working Environment: Fast paced environment requiring flexibility and adaptability.
- Standing and sitting required.
- Occasional lifting up to 70 lb.
Required Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 - 5
