Technical Project Manager With Hedge Fund in NYC

The project manager will report to the VP Project Management but will work closely with the managing directors heading investor relations team, applications development team and the information technology infrastructure. The successful project manager will build strong working relationships with the junior and senior ranks of client coverage, as well as with the internal development team, the security team, various other departments.

• Keen ability to understand the complex and diverse responsibilities of the client coverage/investor relations team and identify, assess and prioritize appropriate technology solutions.
• Responsible for implementation of standard project management disciplines including meeting management, project plan creation and tracking, action item tracking and resolution, escalation management, coordination of testing activities, project readiness assessments and pre and post go-live coordination.
• Responsible for building out potential project submission and tracking process that includes value add of each project to help prioritize effectively.
• Highly collaborative style with ability to build consensus and keep projects on course.

• 7+ years’ relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree required, master’s preferred
• Project manager certification preferred
• Thorough understanding of technology systems, procedures and practices
• Full understanding of software development lifecycle best practices
• Strong work ethic and proactive, team-oriented approach
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, highly accurate
• Results- and solutions-oriented; ability to handle an array of time-sensitive projects simultaneously
• High degree of integrity
• Strong core technology skills, including project management software (Microsoft Project), Excel, Salesforce
