3rd shift 11p-7: 30a

Primary purpose is to perform control tests on all slurries in both the Equiax and DS/SX Shell Rooms so that corrective action can be taken if control limits are breached. Perform process audits, weekend coverage as scheduled.

Perform specific gravity test on shell slurries

Perform binder solids test on shell slurries

Perform slurry tests on feed tank slurries

Perform pH, temperature, bacteria, gel, and foam test on shell slurries

Perform plate weight, polymer solids, and slurry coverage test

Perform binder solids test on incoming shell binders

Collect, prepare, and test Modulus of Rupture on shell mold test strips

Keep Ceramics Lab, cabinets, and all equipment clean, well-organized, and in good working condition.

Maintain settings of slurry drip pumps and keep production drip pumps in good working condition.

Build and maintain experimental slurries as required by Engineering.

Assist manufacturing in building of production slurry as needed.

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
