C / C Developer - Remote

Title of Position: C /C Developer Location: Remote Length of Contract: Long term Contract Interview Process: 2 step interview process Requirement:

• C/C software development focused on an embedded security hardware and virtual appliance product.
• Required/desired skills:
• experience with C/C programming on Linux
• experience with Linux systems programming
• comfortable with Linux command-line and shell scripting
• experience with OpenSSL library
• Experience w/GIT

• At least 3-4 years of recent full-time professional work experience in a Linux (or UNIX) based environment, and in writing C/C code for a Linux/UNIX based software system.
• Total number of years of FT work experience should be at least 7-8 years (including above).
• Very strong level of expertise with C or C (candidate should be aware of the differences between C and C).
• Very strong hands-on experience with Linux systems esp. the Linux CLI; has to be very comfortable working with the Linux command-line and CLI cmds.
• Experienced with debugging and troubleshooting Linux apps (debugging & profiling code).
• Experienced in working with OSS software (libraries, apps, services).
• Experienced with git, and comfortable working with the git CLI.
• Experienced in unit-testing, test automation, and any one of the industry standard Unit Testing frameworks.
• Must have some experience with DevOps methodology, CI/CD, and automation.
• Must have some experience with scripting on Linux (Bash | Python | Perl)
• Any prior (or current) experience with any of the following is a BONUS:
  • openssl
  • VPN software (openvpn, ipsec vpn)
  • Cryptography and security-related applications
  • FIPS
