Job Description: IT Service Technicians are the go-to people for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. They are responsible for answering queries and addressing system and user issues in a timely and professional manner. IT Service Technicians work with the IT team and will often interact with system and computer users across the company. The IT Service Technician team will train users on basic system and computer functions. Understanding and proactively maintaining daily system performance, having the ability to troubleshoot customer problems, and innate follow-up and follow-through skills are all essential aspects of the IT Service Technician’s day-to-day role.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and respond quickly to incoming requests related to IT issues.
  • Maintain desktops / laptops / tablets and act as support if any system goes down.
  • Responsible for PC’s, Printers, Scanners, related peripheral equipment (monitor, keyboard, mouse, hard drive, etc.).
  • Maintain user PCs, including upgrades and configuration as needed.
  • Assist with onboarding of new users.
  • Keep inventory of all equipment, software, and license users.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade PC software.

Skills
  • Good understanding of installation of Windows OS.
  • Experience with Citrix.
  • Experience with anti-virus software.
  • Experience with hardware disposal practices.
  • General awareness of computer systems, PC repair, and network management.
  • Experience with Active Directory, domains administration and user provisioning.
  • Should be able to troubleshoot network connectivity issues, domain issues, etc.
  • Should be able to troubleshoot MS Outlook in an MS Exchange environment.
  • Resourcefulness and quick-thinking nature to troubleshoot new and critical technical issues.
  • Ability to deploy, configure, and support operating systems on desktop and mobile devices.
  • Understanding and appreciation for information security within systems and user devices.
  • Strong drive to provide excellent customer service and experience, with an awareness of prioritization of tasks, stakeholders, budget, and time.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Prefer to have experience with Zendesk or similar ticketing software.
  • Prefer to have experience with Lansweeper or similar IT asset management software.

Note: This job requires occasional travel within 30 miles radius of Walnut Creek, CA, which will be reimbursed at federal rate. Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable motor vehicle (not a motorcycle) required.
