We are seeking an Application Remediation Analyst to assist our client with a large upgrade and remediation project they have underway to help reduce technical debt following the onboarding of a few recent acquisitions. This position will sit 100% REMOTE, but must be located on the West Coast and able to support PST.Application Remediation AnalystThis position works with technical resources and application teams to evaluate, remediate and eliminate technical debt within the organization due to application redundancies following some acquisitions. The analyst is responsible for proactive identification of technical debt as well as identifying solutions to eliminate technical debt. Responsibilities will include hardware and software upgrades, testing, cloud migration, application, and hardware retirement. This team has numerous apps in their environment that they need to figure out what to do with, who works with them, who owns them. This team is responsible for discovery work, planning, remediation, deep dives into servers, and interviews with internal SME's in order to find out what the best course of action is for the particular application they've been assigned. This team takes an app and tries to learn it in a week or so to see what they can do with it and if it is still useful in the new environment, or if it is better to sunset for cost savings. A qualified resource need to have a solid technical aptitude, keen analysis abilities, and excellent communication/people skills, which they will draw from daily to get this effort done. A basic understanding of Azure (tags, subscriptions, would that app be cloud capable) is highly preferred.

  • Work with technology, vendors, and IS partners to identify solutions to remove technical debt to the organization.
  • Create plans to eliminate technical debt for new acquisitions and affiliations.
  • Ensure that assets are decommissioned appropriately and follow enterprise compliance and retention policies.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and work independently.
  • Work effectively with other analyst, technical resources, support managers, QA, and vendors to deliver on collective goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Develop and maintain risk management reporting for technical debt.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • 3 years of support experience working with applications and software analysis
  • 3 years general technology experience, supporting and assessing various applications
  • Basic Customer Support, UAT or Application testing/compatibility experience
Preferred (Any experience with the following would be a plus ):
  • Cloud migration experience
  • ADO, ServiceNow, SharePoint
  • Project Support, Leadership, Coordination, Management (Someone who can be self-directed and accountable)
  • Reporting and Documentation (PowerBI is what we use)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Job Specific:
  • Understanding of software development and testing standards and best practices.
  • Experience with HIPAA compliance policy and security as it applies to application requirements is a PLUS.
  • Experience working with both the business and technical sides of issues.
  • Experience working with Agile and Dev Ops methodologies.
Required:
  • Intermediate Proficiency in strong verbal communication and listening skills.

  • Beginner Proficiency in demonstrated analytical skills.
  • Intermediate Proficiency in ability to drive multiple projects to successful completion.
