Established Underground Construction Company is looking for experienced Pipe Layers for installation of sanitary sewer, water main and storm sewer.

Hourly wage will be between $18-27, depending on experience

Essential Functions:

1. Operates hand and power tools of all types necessary for completing construction projects including laying pipe and other projects.

2. Lay sewer, storm water, and drain pipe.

3. Shovel rock, dirt, or sand.

4. Control traffic passing in or around work zones.

5. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Ability to work with construction equipment such as air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and pavement breakers.

2. General knowledge of main line installation.

3. Thorough operational knowledge and skills of specific equipment to be operated.

4. Ability to operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently.

5. Ability to service the assigned equipment to ensure maximum operating efficiency.

6. Ability to read blue prints, plans, and instructions.

Physical Requirements:

1. Work environment conditions consist of working in the sun, heat, cold, and water where the conditions could be dirty or dusty.

2. Ability to crawl in and out of excavations.

3. Ability to climb up and down a ladder, up to 50 feet high.

4. Frequent bending, walking, squatting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and prolonged standing.

5. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs frequently.

6. Must pass Priority Excavating physical exam and drug test.

A valid drivers' license and driving record acceptable to our insurance company may be required.

Pre-placement physical and drug screen required.
