ETL Developer

Insight Global is looking to directly hire an ETL/Informatica Developer in a permanent role to join a growing financial company located in West Des Moines, IA. The ideal candidate will be joining a new team of Enterprise Data & Analysis professionals to assist with streamlining data security across an entire organization and ensuring that the flow of data is secured from start to finish. Under general direction, formulates and defines system scope and objectives. Devises or modifies procedures to solve highly complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results. Prepares detailed specifications to write programs. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents and maintains those programs. Competent to work on and responsible for nearly all phases of applications systems analysis and programming projects. Regularly provides guidance and training to less experienced analysts/programmers. This team will also be exploring and releasing a new Data Lineage tool which this candidate will assist in the roll-out and implementation of that new technology. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: As a ETL developer you would be responsible for developing the ETL mappings as per the Technical Specs. Test the ETL mappings developed as per the Specs to ensure quality of the mappings and the data. Provide inputs to continuously improve ETL process discipline and resulting output quality. Tuning of ETL performance. Collaborate with the Architects on POC of new tools and technologies. Exposure to cloud based DW Snowflakes highly preferred. Exposure to CDC tools like Attunity Replicate, AWS DMS, Goldengate etc. is good to have. Experience with Python nice to have. Snowflake data warehousing experience. Insurance or Annuity experience.Bachelor's Degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or similar field. 5+ years of experience developing in Informatica. 5+ years of experience in designing and delivering Data Warehouses and reporting solutions. High Level of SQL experience in regards to complex SQL queries. Experience with Database technologies such as Oracle, DB2, SQL server. Experience with Extract, Transform and Load and ELT development. 5+ years of hands on experience with Informatica Power Center. Data modelling experience with dimensional modeling. Understanding of Metadata, Data Governance, Data Quality and Data security.
