Project Manager/Regional Accounts Manager
Drafting Cafe / Andersen Architects is looking to hire a full-time Architectural Project Manager to coordinate a seamless client experience as projects move through various stages of our unique delivery process. The Project Manager will track many projects through various stages of development, manage a production/design team, and keep clients informed. The ideal candidate will have a background in architecture or construction.
With this role, there is an opportunity to grow into the role of Regional Accounts Manager. Our Accounts Managers nurture relationships with our clients, potential clients, and contractors. They assist with consultations before Drafting Cafe is hired, and own the client relationship from end-to-end. This role includes a commission based on regional sales performance.
We are a mac-based office and utilize several key software solutions to track our projects. It is expected that candidates for this position will have the ability to quickly learn and rely on technology to do their job effectively. Drafting ability is not required, but the ability to use Vectorworks is a huge plus.

We are currently building out a new flexible office space on the Alameda naval base. We plan to allow most of our staff to work remotely, with drop-in desks and dedicated desks for those who prefer them. Our firm has been providing quality residential design in the Bay Area for over 10 years. We work on both small and large scale residential projects. Job positions in our office are specific to the part of the project each person works on and we work closely as a team. Project Management
Keep track of project statuses in Project Management software
Facilitate weekly status meetings with each member of the Production Team
Set and uphold firm milestones and timelines as needed
Send project updates to clients at key times and milestones
Conduct consultations with new clients
Onboard new projects
Coordinate with consultants
Technical Coordination
Address technical client/builder questions and serve as liaison between client and team
Interface with Planning and Building departments; research zoning requirements
Coordinate plan check comments with Production Coordinator
Facilitate zoning reviews and permit submittals
Administrative/Invoicing
Schedule design meetings/email design work to clients for review
Alert bookkeeping to send invoices at project milestones
Coordinate pickup or shipping of final drawings
Soft Skills
Manage needs of sensitive clients/stakeholders
Dynamic problem solving

Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience with cross-functional collaboration; team player
Ability to juggle many projects at once/handle large volume
