Remote to start and can stay remote but the candidate will eventually need to at least be living in either MD, DC, VA, DE, WV, NC, PA. they need to have strong Cloud Security experience. Role Description: The AWS Cloud Security Engineer would need to have at least 5 years of experience and out of which 1-3 years on AWS Security. For this role, you must be a security and technical expert in Cloud Security technology, architects, designs, systems implementation and integration with deep, specialized knowledge of Amazon Web Services. As the Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and delivering security solutions in Cloud infrastructure based on Cloud security standards, governance and control practices. Principal Responsibilities: - Conducts technical research when necessary to contribute to setting cloud security direction and strategy. - Assists others on own team, or other teams where applicable, on cloud security projects or security-relevant tasks on technical projects. - Designs, develop and implements new cloud security technologies to support business and technology solutions. - Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) for at least 2 of these security tools, applications and processes, including IBM QRadar or other cloud SIEM, IBM Guardium, PKI, DLP, CyberArk, SailPoint, PaloAlto - Create, maintain and deliver to project schedules and budgets. - Identify, manage and maintain KPI and other metrics for core processes. - Review and assess the current supported tools, apps and processes to determine gaps for meeting the needs of the stakeholders. - Design and implement changes to existing security tools, applications and processes based on changes in scope or needs. - Work directly with internal infrastructure teams to align and execute infrastructure changes to support the tools, apps and processes. - Create process documents for operations, maintenance and integrating output from these tools into daily security operations. 5-8 Years Experience Relevant business and systems subject matter expertise especially in AWS Cloud Security, and Network Security domains. Proven experience supporting Firewalls, Load Balancers, and other network security appliances. Demonstrated business process analysis, Work flow, task analysis, user-acceptance testing and requirements analysis knowledge. Proven ability to elicit, document, analyze and verify requirements. Experience with user acceptance testing concepts. Experience in accurately modelling requirements using at least one if not more of the following: Functional Decomposition, Data Flow Diagrams, User Context Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, Workflow modelling, Use Cases, Use Case Model Survey and Use Case Specification, Process Modelling, Prototyping Attention to detail and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities and handle multiple projects concurrently. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Extensive process and data modelling skills. This position requires a bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or relevant work experience in application security analysis, systems analysis and/or testing background and experience with direct AWS and Network security experience. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to build consensus and agreement and bring resolution to contentious issues and entrenched interests. Demonstrated successful use of AGILE and/or Waterfall SDLC methodology Must demonstrate understanding of industry standard Business Analysis Best Practices Excellent knowledge of MS Office tool set MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project and MS Visio. Preferred: Security Certification. Understands data analysis and modelling Experience with Requirements Management tools. Experience with healthcare insurance industry, especially BCBS plans preferred. Experience with software testing, test management and defect tracking tools. Strong understanding of managed care principles, claims processing guidelines, Member contracts and Provider Agreements. Effective presentation, negotiation and influencing skills to interface with all levels of management and to facilitate large meetings across the CareFirst organization.
