- Architecting and designing of network services including but not limited to: VPN, firewall, WAF, IPS, CDN, proxy, load balancing, and DNS
- Assisting in the development of network/security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures relevant to IT infrastructure
- Communicating highly complex technical ideas, issues, and designs with sensitivity to varied audiences
- Consulting on complex technical issues and collaborate with operations teams to Identify and troubleshoot cloud platform problems
- Consulting with stakeholders to specify requirements and solutions which address business challenges and opportunities
- Defining technical standards, governance and compliance for multi-region and multi-cloud infrastructure
- Defining and refining high-level and non-functional project requirements
- Designing highly available, scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions to improve efficiency and customer experience
- Designing hybrid enterprise network infrastructure including all hardware, software, virtual servers, Operating systems, and cloud equipment configurations
- Developing automation for network service deployment, configuration, and update
- Developing system specifications, technical implementation plans with development staff, network operations and vendors
- Evaluating cloud infrastructure architectures for future readiness
- Evaluating cloud provider roadmaps and planning the integration of proper technologies into company infrastructure
- Leading the research and evaluation of new network/security technologies and overseeing proof of concept and beta evaluations with cloud providers and internal teams
- Participating with vendors, common carriers and network operations in the identification and resolution of complex network problems
- Serving as a high-level technical resource on large scale (cloud and premise) network/security projects
- Serving as a subject matter expert for cloud infrastructure, performing design reviews and consulting with internal teams to ensure design best practices
- 5+ years of experience in network infrastructure design, implementation, and administration plus troubleshooting network switching and routing platforms and routing protocols
- 3+ years of experience architecting, supporting and or delivering in public and private cloud compute environments with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in delivery and migration of cloud services or platforms in an enterprise or global environment
- 2+ years of experience with Cisco Data Center, Campus and Branch Office network hardware, including ACI, NXoS, IOS operating systems in an enterprise environment
- 1+ years in infrastructure administration and automation (Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
- 1+ years' experience with cloud IAM, secrets management, and PKI
- 1+ years of experience with system administration of Linux and/or Microsoft windows servers
- Experience and knowledge of networking for container-based infrastructures, middleware, microservices a plus
- Experience with one or more scripting languages, such as, Python, Go, JavaScript, or Ruby a plus
- Hands on scripting/programming experience including source code management, version control, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code a plus
- Strong demonstrated troubleshooting skills using packet capture tools, Netflow, SNMP, Syslog, Splunk, Telemetry data.
- Strong knowledge of cloud network infrastructure configuration, and LAN related technologies: VLANs, HSRP, etc.
- Strong understanding of OSI layers, TCP/IP, QoS, routing protocols and Internet routing architectures, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, WAN design and operations including static and dynamic routing, packet filtering and analysis
- Taking responsibility, accountability, and ownership of relevant technologies and processes
- Working knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and developing integrations.
- Working technical knowledge of HTTP/S, DNS, POP, SMTP, FTP, SNMP, TACACs+, Proxy Servers, etc.
- Working knowledge of cloud IAM (Identity and Access Management)
