Responsibilities:Independently performs and maintains accountability for venipuncture and capillary puncture on the general units.
Promptly charts interventions and test results into the various computer systems. Generates reports as required; reviews,distributes and files reports according to procedures.
Independently performs and maintains accountability for cardiovascular tasks including EKGs, Signal Averaged EKGs and pacemaker checks.
Orders, stock and maintains supplies as needed.
Withinscope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and theability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in afast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
The pay range for this position is: $15.30 - $20.86 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.An annual bonus may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational and individual performance.Requirements:Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED. Required Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Minimum Experience: Completion of a course in phlebotomy or relevant experience.
BLS through the American Heart Association or theAmerican Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand beforestart date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days ofhire. All life support certification cards must be issued by eitherthe American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for theProfessional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is onlygood upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American HeartAssociation sanctioned course.)
