If you are a people person, outgoing and good with detailsthen you already have a jump start on an entry level position to be an insurance agent.

You must have strong interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and enthusiastic. Above all, you must be coach-able.

Responsibilities:

Be attentive to new and current customers to accurately identify there needs or requests. Accurately document discussions with customers; achieve weekly, monthly and quarterly goals.

Once you are licensed, learn to listen to what insurance needs a customer has and how to present the correct policy for them to purchase and how to cross sell customers so they get all their bundling discounts. Continue to learn about the insurance industry, always with the eye on finding new business

Qualifications

Ideally, I would like to have someone already licensed, if not be willing to get licensed with 3 months of hire

High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree a plus

Fundamental computer skills such as experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel

Compensation

Hourly (based on experience and discussed at second interview); commission (if licensed); monthly and quarterly bonuses. Please note, the more you sell, the higher the commission percentage paid!
