Job Description As the UI/UX Director, you will act as the team lead for UI/UX Designers and Graphic Designers, and work closely with Product Managers, Engineering, Architects, Analysts, and key Stakeholders to design and implement modern, best-of-breed UI and UX experiences that lead to increased acquisition, improved customer satisfaction, and superior functionality for our Company' s applications. The UI/UX Director will be responsible for overseeing the design of UI/UX solutions for a wide variety of use cases as part of an innovative new approach to how collaboration is done with Radiologist/Physicians and Patient Care.
  • Manage a small team of UI Designers
  • Collaborate and work closely with product managers and engineers to embrace the product portfolio direction, helping build a superior customer interface and overall end user experience
  • Deliver approved UI/UX controls, layouts, fonts, placement, navigation, etc.
  • Design and develop prototypes, mockups, wireframes, sitemaps, and site navigation
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, journey maps, and process flows
  • Effectively work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product strategist, product managers and dev leaders
  • Create and maintain a design library for graphical user interface elements
  • Create original graphic designs (e.g., images, sketches and tables)
  • Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders, including working with user test groups for feedback
  • Identify and troubleshoot UI/UX problems (e.g., responsiveness, layout)

Qualifications: To be successful in this role, the UI/UX Director will have significant experience working with design and graphical editing software and leading the team of Designers through ideation and problems resolution for the applications. The UI/UX Director should have a strong background not only in designing and implementing creative websites, but in creating journey maps, design libraries, and articulating and presenting design ideas that rely on using the latest web-based architectures.
  • 7+ years of experience working in the UI/UX field
  • Ability to manage and oversee a team of UI/UX and Graphic Designers
  • Proven track record of success in UI/UX capacity, including design disciplines, prototyping and journey mapping
  • Empathy in seeing pain points from other perspectives to drive resolution
  • Portfolio of design projects
  • Knowledge of wireframe tools (such as Wireframe.cc and InVision)
  • Proficient with design tools, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Sketch
  • Team spirit: strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Good time-management skills
  • BS in Communication Design/Graphic Design, Computer Science, or equivalent

Preferred Skills:
  • Healthcare background would be nice to have
  • Experience working with onshore and offshore development teams (3 onshore / 3 offshore)
