job summary:

About the Role The DevOps Team plays a critical role in keeping the production and development environments running smoothly and securely. As part of a small team, the DevOps Engineer will be wearing multiple hats in a highly visible role interacting with all aspects of the business. This role assumes willingness to think like an owner, helping move projects along, provide technical advisory capacities and be pro-active in continually automating and scaling our environment.

Responsibilities
  • Act as infrastructure architect who understands DevOps principles and automation, with a strong understanding of networking, AWS best practices and CI/CD strategies
  • Act as Kubernetes expert and lead
  • Improve operational efficiency by automating manual tasks to reduce support workload
  • Wear an SRE hat, helping to troubleshoot performance and deployment issues as well as improving our monitoring strategies
  • Write and update self-service tools used internally by developers.

Qualifications
  • 6+ years of DevOps or SRE experience with at least 2 years of AWS experience
  • Microservices (Docker, Kubernetes) experience in a production environment is a

    must
  • strong Linux OS-level and command-line/scripting knowledge and configuration management principles?
  • Able to code in Python or Ruby?desired
  • Good written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to design and implement complex, but easily-managed, automated infrastructure
  • A desire to share, teach and learn as part of a team

While we are currently working remotely due to COVID-19, this position will be based in our New York or Greenwich, CT office. location: New York, New Yorkjob type: Permanentsalary: $140,000 - 170,000 per yearwork hours: 8am to 6pmeducation: Bachelors responsibilities:
