Our team is comprised of engineers from a diverse set of backgrounds. We’re a mix of software developers, infrastructure engineers, and systems experts. The Reliability Engineering team is responsible for:

  • Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Release Engineering and other DevOps platforms
  • Observability, monitoring & alerting from the top of the stack down to bare metal
  • Automation platforms and practices to help teams eliminate toil and improve customer experiences
  • Operating Kubernetes and driving adoption of containerization
This role includes working with internal customers and partners to apply our tools and techniques. The ideal candidate will have the communications skills and patience to work with people as well as technology. We encourage our engineers to work with and understand our users, leveraging our experience to understand problems, and design solutions. The job will require will a manager to divide their time between growing their people, understanding their stakeholders, aligning with partner team, as well as providing technical oversight for the team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with senior management across infrastructure and development organizations and is not afraid of driving broader organizational change. Job Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with fellow managers to develop and drive the team’s roadmap
  • Understand stakeholder needs to drive adoption
  • Listen to feedback to propose new solutions and iterative improvements
  • Grow a stellar team of engineers from a diverse background
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Work Experience
  • Typical candidates will have at least 7-10 years of experience in the technology field, preferably in software engineering, and at least 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role and managing people.
Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficient with:
  • Docker & Containerization
  • Development best practices
  • One or more programming or scripting languages, and a willingness to learn
  • Linux/Unix fundamentals
  • Listening to feedback, understanding problems, and proposing solutions
Exposure to or interest in learning more about:
  • Kubernetes
  • Continuous Integration, including tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
  • Git & GitHub
  • Artifact Management, including tools like JFrog Artifactory
  • Automation, including tools like Ansible & Puppet
  • Python, Go, or JavaScript
  • Metrics, Monitoring, and Alerting, including tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk
