Texas Health Hospital Frisco — a health care campus designed to be a destination for the residents of Frisco and surrounding communities – is scheduled to open later this year.Texas Health Frisco is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN for a newly created PRN Level II position.The address is 12400 Dallas Parkway, Frisco, TX 75033Salary set PRN II rate: $35.00/hr plus shift differentialsWork Schedule: PRN Level II: On an as needed basis, Rotating shifts between both 6:45AM-7:15PM and 6:45PM-7:15AM, 32 hours per month with 1 weekend/shift per month and 1 major & 1 minor critical staffing/holidays per year; self-scheduling. Need Flexibility with schedule.Department: 12-bed Labor/Delivery/Recovery (LDR) setting 1 Antepartum room; 2 triage rooms; 2 OR suites and 2 Recovery rooms OB Hospitalists; 24/7 Anesthesia Will Float to Mother/baby, couplet care area; assist with breastfeeding education Will catch babies Equipped with a 22-bed Maternal/Newborn department and a 6-bed Level II NICUQualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: Associate’s degree in Nursing (A.D.N.) is Required;Completion of BSN within two years of earliest start date in a Texas Health RN role is required. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse (RN) or completion of an RN residency program Required; Three (3) or more years’ current experience as a Labor & Delivery RN is strongly preferred. Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire is required BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support certification through the American Heart Association required upon hire ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification through the American Heart Association strongly preferred upon hire NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program is strongly preferred upon hire Fetal monitoring (EFM – Intermediate or Advanced) certification is preferred – will obtain within 6 months of hireSkills A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment. Ability to triage, labor, deliver, circulate and recover patients Primary Charge RN experience is a plus Preceptor RN experience is beneficial Flexibility with schedule is key!
