Job Description One of the largest retail and ecommerce companies across the U.S. are seeking out for a Lead Java Software Engineer, to serve as the technical anchor for the engineering team to support their current projects. Their tech department specializes in providing modern tools, platforms, and services to all parts of the business. You create, own and are responsible for the application architecture that best serves the product in its functional and non-functional needs. Whether focused on store technology, supply chain tech, application security, merchandising systems, or the mobile app - you'll have opportunities to grow your career while finding meaningful ways to make a difference.

Responsibilities
  • Be able to work collaboratively in a team setting of motivated developers in a fast paced, ecstatic energy, and outcome environment
  • Be able to create and go over high-tech documents, leadership skills focusing on constructive code reviews, and create mentorship to team members.
  • Create scalable, powerful, and secure software systems
  • Be able to lead a high-tech team by example, and create growth with junior developers
  • Dependable and punctual attendance

Qualifications
  • BS/BA and MS/MA in CS, IT, or related fields
  • 8+ years of software development experience within an enterprise level system
  • Deep Java knowledge and experience with programming languages (Spring Boot, Nosql, Microservices, Cloud services (Google preferred)
  • 4+ years with open-source technology
  • 3+ years in building cloud-native applications
  • Must be able to communicate technical issues, share information, and provide solutions through the business
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
