Full Charge Bookkeeper

DescriptionIf you're looking to work with a company in the Healthcare/NHS industry, Accountemps is hiring a Full Charge Bookkeeper. In this role, you will handle all general accounting and bookkeeping functions including the preparation of financial statements; and establishing and maintaining the accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives of the business. This short-term temporary Full Charge Bookkeeper opportunity is based in Carrollton, Texas.How you will make an impact

Handling processing tasks for accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections

Managing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers

Carefully filing documents to preserve historical records

Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations; processing payroll

Producing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet and statements of income and of cash flows

Preparing depreciation schedules by tracking fixed assets

Following federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, implementing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions

Ensuring correct and punctual monthly, quarterly and year end close

Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

Proficiency with Quickbooks and Peachtree

High school diploma or comparable diploma with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred

3+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping

Bookkeeping experience desired

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner

Strong organization skills

Knowledgeable of accrual and cash basis of accounting

Background in payroll preferred

Ability to multitask effectively
