Location: Bloomington, MN Description: Our client is currently seeking a Lead Firmware Engineer-HIRING IMMEDIATELY Location: Bloomington, MN (you will be in the office on a Hybrid schedule) Duration: Full-time/Permanent Responsibilities: • Responsible for end-to-end delivery of embedded Firmware for microcontroller-based systems • Coordinate with the project management team to create and release product requirements, design specifications, and design descriptions • Provide domain knowledge/training to engineering and support teams • Responsible for building and leading the team in an agile: planning, timelines, budgets, task decomposition, and project management in an agile environment • Validation of the delivery and quality assurance through coding standards and testing frameworks • Establish best engineering practices through processes and tools • Actively participate on, and at times lead, cross-functional teams to develop new devices as well as address design issues or maintenance of existing products • Review product documentation for accuracy including documentation intended for customer use Required Qualifications: • BE and minimum of 8+ years experience in firmware development in C and C • Proven expertise in designing, architecting, coding and testing of embedded firmware projects with RF and microcontrollers • Experience with developing firmware for low power battery-powered IoT devices • Experience developing code on Atmel or Nordic microcontrollers • Experience in RF protocols like Zigbee, Bluetooth and 900 MHz mesh network • Experience with implementing security and privacy best practices • Pervious HVAC/controls experience is a big plus • Ability to lead and mentor other engineers • Expertise in analog and digital hardware is desirable • Familiarity with IoT platforms, evolving communication standards and sensors Preferred Qualifications: • Have an extremely high technical aptitude this is an extremely high-tech company! • Have a love for electronics, gadgets and all things geeky • Have insanely superb written and verbal good communication skills and a high level of professionalism along with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams • Be a fast learner, comfortable with teaching yourself new skills, and be able to thrive in a complex and fast-paced environmentContact: This job and many more are available through The Judge Group.
