Location: SeaTac, WA Description: Our client is currently seeking a Attitude Control Engineer This job will have the following responsibilities:

  • Apply state-of-the-art techniques to attitude control algorithm development to accomplish sophisticated mission objectives •Support early feasibility studies, development of subsystem architecture, definition of subsystem and component trade space, and concept of operations •Derive and develop subsystem requirements, performing analyses and trades to validate requirements •Perform detailed vehicle performance analysis •Maintaining subsystem specification, budgets, and performance metrics •Collaborate closely with other subsystems and spacecraft systems engineers to support the development of subsystem boundaries, interfaces, and performance •Define, develop, and execute simulations and tools vital for analysis and verification of subsystem functionalities •Perform verification and testing, ensuring the subsystem aligns with its requirements •Support certification and flight readiness •Assist in real-time flight support during missions
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • B.S. in aerospace engineering or related technical subject area •Experience in attitude control or GN&C algorithm development •Demonstrated experience in modeling attitude control components, and analyzing performance of attitude control subsystem or components via simulation, testing, or analytically •Familiarity with development of requirements, interfaces, trades and analyses for attitude control applications •Understand the relationship between attitude control, vehicle configuration, actuation, sensors, and automation •Knowledge in guidance, control, or navigation •Expertise in Matlab/Simulink •Experience in configuration management software such as Subversion, GIT, PVCS •Experienced in configuration and product data management •Excellent written and verbal communication skills •Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
