Find your future with us.The Enterprise Architecture, Standards and Delivery (EASD) organization under Boeing Information Technology & Data Analytics is transforming the end-to-end digital capabilities of engineering, manufacturing, enterprise resource planning, and human resources systems and technologies.We work closely with key stakeholders to deliver business solutions that transform data into knowledge. We provide the roadmap for configuration and build of IT products in partnership with industry-leading software and hardware providers. EASD is enabling a broad spectrum of analytics technologies to create a next generation unified information model that accelerates use of semantic technologies, machine learning, artificial intelligence and automate to gain operational efficiency. We are creating global architectures that enable the digital enterprise transformation through the adoption of cloud, data, zero trust, automation, DevSecOps, integration, and emerging innovations to ensure our success for the second century. In order to achieve the above goal, the Integration Solutions Service team under EASD is leading a program effort called Operational Support Services as a way for us to identify opportunities for continued improvements on IT Service and Operational efficiency.We are looking for a passionate lead architects to create, own, and continuously improve enterprise/Application Architecture and technology roadmap; partner with functional teams/solution developers to demonstrate architecture capabilities with Digital Enterprise (DE) products, proof-of-concepts prototypes, innovative solutions and analytics. Engage in creating architecture using latest and greatest technologies and help define best practices, improved processes that will be used across the enterprise.Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads activities to define requirements, design and verify robust architecture, data and information management systems and components.
  • Leads the identification of design constraints and ensures architecture conforms to requirements.
  • Incorporates architecture functions into software development lifecycle.
  • Leads the development and configuration management of architecture views and models.
  • Assesses of feasibility of architecture solutions and alternatives. Performs trade-off analyses.
  • Evaluates products to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments.
  • Drafts data and information management products and service standards. Assesses impact of architectural decisions to product lifecycle.
  • Develops architecture and data/information management standards and strategies.
  • Coaches and mentors others.
This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in Kent, Washington.This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 10+ years of hands on experience in an Architect role
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux and shell scripts
  • 8+ years with Java
  • Extensive experience with data streaming
  • 3+ years of cloud computing, containerization, and Kubernetes
  • Experiences with Kafka and its Ecosystem Experience (all aspect from dev to operation)
  • Deep understanding of traditional and noSQL databases
  • Experience with Git and Jenkins
  • Experience with Clustered environments.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with ETL
  • Familiar with Open Telemetry
  • Familiar with IT Operations and Analytics tools
  • Linux OS Kernel Tuning
  • Familiar with Terraform
  • Familiar with Python
  • Familiar with Strimzi
  • Familiar with SOA, Integration, Microservices deployment & administration
Typical Education/Experience: Technical bachelor's degree with 15+ years of overall experience or a Master's degree with typically 10+ or more years' or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
