Homemaker (Detroit Lakes)

MAHUBE-OTWA Community Action Partnership, Inc. has an opening for a Homemaker. This is a 20 hour/week, year round position.

TITLE: Homemaker

DUTY STATION: Detroit Lakes, Minnesota MAHUBE-OTWA office.

QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED: High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Must complete and pass a DHS background study. Must possess a valid Minnesota Drivers’ License, vehicle insurance, a good driving record and willingness to use personal vehicle in the course of employment. PREFERRED: Experience as a Homemaker/Housekeeper preferred.

BASIC FUNCTION: This position exists to provide a clean healthy and safe environment, promote a harmonious, pleasant and attractive environment, clean surfaces and floors of bathroom and kitchen, light dishwashing, light dusting, clean bedroom and living room; vacuum carpets and dust, change bed linens, laundry, clean inside of windows. Advocate for other MAHUBE-OTWA programs and services and provide referrals as necessary to promote a whole family approach and all needs. Document client services as required by the Agency. Complete and submit all required documentation on a weekly basis. Participate as appropriate in, in-service and education programs. The person in this position must adhere to the Agency Standards of Conduct and Agency Values of client focused, community minded and resourcefulness. Must have the ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality of client information and work materials.
