IT Systems Support Specialist (CARSON CITY)

Position Description:

SUPPORT TECHNICIAN AND SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

We have an opening on our Managed Services team for a technical support technician who is skilled at providing excellent customer service. The appropriate candidate will provide systems administration and technical support to multiple clients primarily by telephone and remote access from our support center, but occasionally face-to-face onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

- Working with clients by providing general workstation support, addressing IT administration needs, and providing end-user trouble ticket resolution

- Ensure that every client's infrastructure is healthy, stable, and configured with accepted IT best practices

- Communicate with co-workers and clients to ensure service level expectations are met and exceeded

- Use a ticket-based incident management system to track and document resolutions

Required Skills:

- Workstation Administration, installation, configuration and troubleshooting

- Server Administration, configuration and troubleshooting

- Virtualization technologies such as VMWare or Hyper-V

- Switch installation, configuration and troubleshooting

- Router installation, configuration and troubleshooting as well as associated WAN technologies

- Firewall support

- HTML, PHP experience a plus

- Ability to multi-task and possess strong organizational skills

- Take responsibility for supporting multiple applications and network environments

- Produce appropriate documentation for configuration changes and related processes

- Strong verbal, written and telephone skills

- Ability to travel to client offices on occasion

- Provide 24/7 on-call support as a member of our managed services team
