We invite you to add to it.HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:The Project Manager/Estimator is responsible for estimating and managing both public and private sector projects within the ATP’s regional target markets.Essential Job Accountabilities:

Pursue, establish and maintain positive relationships with market contacts based on our strategic objectives.

Ability to manage all aspects of construction projects while delivering expected project profitability that meets or exceeds expectations

Ensure proper job controls, i.e. quantities, costs, revenue and schedule are utilized to achieve constant improvement.

Ability to accurately forecast project financials

Provide excellent customer service to public and private market clients.

Ability to estimate accurate cost budgets and cost proposals.

Ability to communicate with operational teams

Coordinate with the project team to manage costs, budgets and schedules for construction projects.

Interact with both Estimating and Operations teams, ensuring proper reviews and processes are strictly adhered to and work is being accomplished in an efficient manner.

Develop working relationships with owners, agency representatives, subcontractors and suppliers that will lead to long term partnerships.

Actively participate in and promote company safety initiatives to ensure safe work environments for all our employees.

This position will be based in San Diego, CA.HERE’S WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOREducation & Work Experience:

BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience in heavy civil construction.

Three (3) to five (5) years project experience in asphalt paving and grading.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Knowledge and understanding of bidding and building heavy civil construction work

Knowledge of asphalt paving, grading, and site work.

Availability to travel frequently to various job sites ensuring work is set up properly, materials are within spec, and operational leaders are set up to successfully execute work.

Demonstrate strong decision-making, problem-solving skills, and common sense

Excellent leadership skills, specifically in relation to behaviors that lead to safe work and job profitability

Ability to communicate directly and effectively with operational team leaders, inspectors, clients, and various other stakeholders

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Additional Requirements:

Ability and willingness to operate within the guidelines of ATP’s Code of Conduct

Must be a Team player and able to operate in a dynamic environment

Valid driver’s license and ability to drive
