The world doesn’t need more content; it needs better content. Hence, the “IBM Originals” approach to content was created to be the storytelling arm of IBM. We create stories and content experiences that matter to our audiences, move them to act, and cut through the noise in the market.We believe that content is the best way to build relationships at scale and that stories must be creatively told, uniquely delivered, and useful to our audience. They must always be curious and searching for new content trends, while remaining data driven. They may also provide editorial oversight, including checks for grammar, clarity, consistency and adherence to the IBM brand and our voice.The Content Writer is responsible for:

Filtering out average stories to find the real stories that matter

Building storyboards to pitch to marketing and content leaders

Writing video scripts, original articles, social tiles and blogs

Developing hard hitting marketing messages from the Narrative down to the digital copy

Maintaining production oversight to ensure creative developed is aligned to our goals

Collaborates most frequently with:

Editor-in-Chief

Content Designer

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

3+ years of experience in Content Writing or closely-related writing experience

Demonstrated oral and written communication skills

Ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment and facilitate group discussions

Detail-oriented and able to quickly learn different industry terminology

Ability to work under pressure especially under tight client deadlines

Proven time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize and multi-task

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Experience with authoring tools and documentation delivery methods

Experience developing enterprise systems software documentation

Experience writing for globalization and accessibility

Experience working in an agile, squad-based, continuous delivery development model
