Apply your own mature technical framework to direct a group of 11 US-based IT professionals who manage a diverse portfolio of compute, storage and related technologies, including 7x24 support for production environments. Help to lead the team through Platform modernization and cloud transformation.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with project leads and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of team prioritization with strategic objectives of the organization.
  • Support team members' individual development plans to build new skillsets required to thrive in a DevOps, Infrastructure as Code framework.
  • Oversee infrastructure capacity planning to support future business requirements
  • Ensure health and availability of established enterprise server and storage platforms
  • Manage vendors, maintenance contracts and renewals
  • Advocate the use of DevOps tooling such as Github/Jenkins in place of manual processes for server deployments
  • Support the team in making process improvements through automation

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a comparable or related technical role.
  • Experience with DevOps/Platform tools such as Gitlab/GitHub, Jenkins, SaltStack, Ansible
  • Virtualization hardware and software such as VMware, VDI, vSphere
  • Agile planning
  • Firm understanding of OS, network and authentication principles

Preferred skills:
  • Linux system administration
  • Programming languages (such as Python, C, C#)
  • Experience with build infrastructure in the cloud
  • Proficiency with Governance and IT controls as they relate to Server Infrastructure

  • Comfort in embracing and leading change
  • Comfort with cross-functional teamwork, including global partners
  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills

ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATION:
  • International relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.
  • The location for this role is Minneapolis, MN however remote work-at-home applications within the United States will be considered.
