Please note: This role will report to the Syracuse, NY office location.

Build the possibilities. Make an extraordinary impact: Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing computer software installation and hardware problems of moderate complexity.

How you will make an impact:
  • Installs a wide variety of computer hardware equipment.
  • Identifies when software licensing needs to be obtained and installs software of moderate complexity.
  • Recommends standard software that will meet customer needs and assists the Software Deployment team in troubleshooting instances when packages cannot be deployed as part of large scale software deliveries.
  • Provides remote-hands work for other IT groups or outsourcers.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs computer software problems of moderate complexity which may involve a removal/reinstall of the application or system registry/file changes to fix the incident using more advanced diagnostic tools.
  • Participates in single and large scale moves.
  • Performs Tech Refresh installations and end user acceptance testing.
  • Participates in other lights-on projects where technical resources are needed.
  • May attend regularly scheduled project meetings and provide technical and logistical advice to a project team.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Requires an AA/AS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 3 years experience with PC and operating systems, Dell hardware certification; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Microsoft A+, MCP and Network+ certifications strongly preferred.
