The Product team at this entertainment company specialized in technology, business and politics is hiring a Senior Product Designer with experience in an eCommerce environment. As the Senior Product Designer, you will be designing for their main products. You will be working on UI elements, design system, and some UX strategy/research. The ideal candidate will have a nicely put together portfolio in a case study format that highlights a wide variety of projects. You will ideally have strong experience as a Product Designer with proven experience working on web, mobile and tablet. You also be helping train and mentor junior designers. This job is based in Washington D.C. but will be remote. Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of experience in product design, graphic design, UI/UX
- 4+ years of experience of direct UI/UX experience
- Experience working on an eCommerce product
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience using qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Design using data and insights
- Expertise in creating user stories, A/B testing, wireframes and prototypes
- Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Graduate Degree preferred
- Previous experience with large teams
- Experience working within media or news
- 100% Hands on product design
- 80% UI, wireframe, prototypes, qualitative/quantitative research
- 20% Team collaboration/Mentoring junior designers
