MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

POSITION SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties, to include but not limited to; Building maintenance; install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Performing diversified duties to install and maintain production machines, equipment and building maintenance

Providing emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performing scheduled maintenance

repairs of equipment during machine service

Performing simple machinist duties and responsibilities

Performing mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair

Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service

Diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing and making adjustments

Performing regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities

Performing a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions

Using a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties

Detecting faulty operations and defective material and reporting those and any unusual situations to proper supervision

Complying with safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work area at all times

Performing other work-related duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

Verified production, building and equipment maintenance experience

Experience in mechanical and industrial maintenance. Electrical and welding a plus

Manufacturing experience; hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills is preferred

Must be highly motivated and able to work independently

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, on some instances this job may require work in areas where ear protection is required.
