Title: DevOps Engineer

Location: Orlando, FL - Remote

Duration: 12 months

Compensation: $82/hr pay (DOE)

RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Experience/Familiarity: Golang, Docker image creation, Node.js, Spring/Java Experience with architecting highly scalable and highly available systems. Experience with web and mobile frameworks as well as implementation of architecture of both internal and external tools. Familiarity with basic principles of Bluetooth Low Energy is a plus but not essential to the role. AWS: Candidates must have AWS engineering & provisioning experience via AWS CDK, AWS Console, and Command Line Interfaces. They will be required to build environments and deploy applications in AWS services like CodePipeline, ECS, Fargate, AMIs, EC2, S3, Application Gateway and Elastic Load Balancing. Strong desire to have familiarity with DynamoDB, Kinesis and Lambda. Understanding of Route53 DNS systems and SSL architecture is a plus. Candidates should have experience managing and deploying applications in Docker/ECS/Fargate containers in a distributed architecture. Knowledge of Akamai, Splunk, Jenkins, AppDynamics, Consul & Rundeck is a plus. Infrastructure-as-Code: Experience using IaC to automate tasks of applications in Linux/Unix platforms at large scale using configuration management tools like CDK, Terraform, Cloudformation and Jenkins. CDK is highly desired. Operations: Experience troubleshooting application issues in the public cloud is required. Cloudwatch and Splunk visualization metric, and query construction is highly desired. Extensive experience of going through application logs and tracing issues to determine root cause of service outages is key. Linux: Candidates must have 2+ years of troubleshooting on-call experience on Linux platforms in large enterprise environments from a sysadmin perspective. They will join an on-call rotation where extensive troubleshooting of RHEL, AWS, Containers & Web Services is required. Automation: Candidates with Automation experience by editing/writing scripts / applications in languages like Python and Golang to automate tasks will be required.
