InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA is a vibrant campus ministry that establishes and advances witnessing communities of students and faculty on college and universities across the United States. This position is based at InterVarsity's National Service Center in Madison, Wisconsin.
To advance the purpose of InterVarsity, this position will manage the Urbana Integrated Marketing and Communications Strategies team, produce high quality communication tools serving InterVarsity’s mission, and promote the programmatic, recruitment, and overall goals for Urbana 21, while collaborating as a core member of the Urbana Leadership Team.
This position requires the raising of funds through personal networks to support the salary of the role
The Urbana Director of Integrated Marketing will develop and deploy a strategic approach to integrating communications and interactive experiences targeting defined audiences and individuals which coordinates all aspects of marketing of Urbana including Paid media (offline advertising, direct marketing and online display and programmatic); Earned media (Organic search fueled by content marketing, PR and online influencer outreach) and Owned media (including social media, on-site UX, customer service and direct messaging through email and mobile) in order achieve consistent messaging customized where possible by channel which presents a unified and seamless experience to the Urbana 21 community.
The ideal candidate for this critical new role on the Urbana Leadership Core has the ability to get things done—demonstrating tenacity as a master organizer and project planner who consistently looks ahead and anticipates needs before they arise. At the core, this person is a story-teller who is clear, concise and able to prompt an emotional response. They find ways to break through the noise and garner attention in a media saturated environment in ways that connect our target audience to our mission. This tech fluent team-builder thrives in the space where the art and science of marketing collide—understanding the value of intuition and of data in strategic decisions.
MARKETING DIRECTOR QUALIFICATIONS
- BS/BA in marketing, communication or related field
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organization and project management skills
- Global missions experience and/or InterVarsity experience preferred
- Knowledge of KPIs and metrics reporting for diverse marketing tactics
