Full Time School Bus Drivers Needed In Philadelphia Area

Job Description

We are looking for a responsible and reliable School Bus Driver to transport students to and from school following a scheduled route and ensuring their safety. The School Bus Driver’s responsibilities include ensuring proper vehicle maintenance, observing safety and traffic rules, and maintaining order among students while they are on the bus.

To be a successful as a School Bus Driver you should enjoy working with children and strictly observe passenger transport regulations. Ultimately, a top-notch School Bus Driver should be meticulous when it comes to vehicle inspections and regard passenger safety as the highest priority. Our responsibilities include:

• Being attentive to traffic and weather conditions and ensuring passenger safety
• Following the planned route and schedule for departure times and stops
• Reporting delays, accidents, and emergencies to dispatch and management and completing necessary reports
• Responding to emergency and non-emergency situations
• Maintain personal safety and good grooming standards
• Prepare vehicle before and after each run by conducting regular inspections, ensure clean interior and exterior, ascertain that assigned vehicle is timely fueled and that all fluids are at the required levels
• Determine needed repairs and ensure that they are communicated to management in a time-efficient manner
• Pick up client safely and in a timely manner, introduce self in a friendly but professional manner, assist with the loading and unloading of the buswhen needed, open the door for the client to enter or exit the bus
• Maintain client confidentiality by keeping information confidential at all times
• Provide feedback to dispatch or management regarding pick-ups and drop-offs and maintain vehicle run log via provided company app

Perform other worker-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a bus driver
• CDL with Passenger and School Bus Endorsement
  (required for School Bus)

• Familiarity with internet, smartphone and GPS devices (must possess smartphone)
• Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
• Possess a valid driver’s license
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to operate a vehicle safely
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Must be flexible and adaptable
• Dependable
• Knowledge of transportation industry a plus
• Ability to lift up to a minimum of 50 lbs (required)
• Working knowledge of first aid procedures

Additional Information

• Health Insurance(medical, dental, and vision) for employees working over 30 hours/week (monthly average) after 90 days.
