Averill Farm (est. 1746) is a family owned and operated farm in Washington Depot, Connecticut. We are primarily a pick-your-own apple and pear orchard with a stand open to the public from August 15th to the day before Thanksgiving. We grow over 100 different varieties of apples, press our own cider, and make donuts as well as a variety of other products.
JOB DESCRIPTION
We need crew members to be flexible and work a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: baking, picking, weeding, stocking, and retail work. We need help during the week and on weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly, and willing to work in uncomfortable weather conditions.
Must be a team player, and also able to work individually.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Strong problem-solving ability, a strong work ethic, and a passion for sustainable and healthy food
Able to take direction, work in different areas of the farm, and move efficiently between tasks
Strong Attention to detail.
