Red River is seeking an ambitious and experienced Director, Services Sales to help us expand our Managed Services and Cloud Services practice. The role will be asked to provide sales leadership and subject matter expertise in support of our local sales team and contribute to Red River’s recurring revenue and long-term business growth plans.Primary Position Tasks:Managed Services and Cloud Services
Subject Matter Expertise Overlay
Qualify opportunities generated by the marketing as sales ready, and assign the appropriate Account Executive
Lead discovery calls/meetings with prospects to determine their managed service requirements and desired outcomes
Provide guidance, assign responsibilities and develop content for the Proposal Team in response to RFP’s and strategic proposals
Lead the effort and provide the expertise on the scope and pricing structure of the managed services opportunity
Engage with RRMS service experts to prepare and deliver managed services presentations to prospective clients
Support the Account Executive in contract and price negotiations
Business Development
Work with Account Executives to develop an Account Mapping strategy with existing clients to identify potential opportunities
Work with the Sales Development Team in establishing an Ideal Customer Profile and create a prospecting list
Provide managed services portfolio training for Account Executives, SDR’s, Customer Success and other Red River teams
Participate in area sales meetings and strategy meetings to get aligned with the business objectives
Identify opportunities to engage with local consultants to create awareness and drive referral business
Get aligned with RRMS marketing efforts to promote new offerings and provide support at trade shows and conferences
Minimum Education/Certification/Experience Requirements:Proven work experience as a Sr. Level Account Executive, Sales Manager, Director or VP with a leading Managed Services Provider
Ability to speak to ITIL processes and functions is a plus. ITIL Foundations Training will be provided otherwise.
Strong Microsoft Office 365, Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Security Services sales skills are preferred
Good PowerPoint, strong Excel, and Microsoft Teams skills are required
Understanding of sales performance metrics, pipeline management, CRM skills required
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
BS degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field
Working experience with commercial, federal, and state/local entities
Ability to work independently, multitask and coordinate activities across a range of functional areas
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in managed services sales roles
Essential Elements:This position requires the ability to continuously communicate with co-workers throughout the day utilizing Red River approved and/or provided communication tools and equipment.
Special Requirements:This position will operate remotely with a potential for up to 25% travel, subject to change.
