We are currently seeking two (2) Heavy Equipment Operator/Mechanic to join our team in Quantico, VA. One (1) position is for a full-time lead role, the second is temporary with the possibility to go full-time. The Heavy Equipment Operator/Mechanic will assist with the operation of the customer. The qualified candidate will be responsible for Preventative Maintenance (PM)and Corrective Maintenance (CM)on Government owned equipment, assist in training exercises and inventory. The Mechanic is responsible to support the readiness and daily availability of the facilities, the support for planned events, provide support and availability of assigned equipment and vehicles, and the reporting of status, and is responsible to ensure the safe operations at all time of personnel, vehicles, and equipment at the customer facility.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Conduct all crane lifting or hoisting operations as required in support of customer Operations and offloading and loading/lift requirements for shipping and receiving equipment.

· Conduct training events on vehicles and equipment, technology demonstrations and assessments, and general use for meetings.

· Operate all prototype vehicles and equipment for demonstrations conducted at the customer site as required by the Government program office requesting the support.

· Submit all Garrison Mobile Equipment (GME) vehicles and equipment maintained as plant property to MCB Motor Transport Division for Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Services (PMCS), safety inspections and load testing certifications.

· Coordinate the induction of all Tactical Wheeled Vehicles for PMCS with the Motor Transport Maintenance Section at The Basic School (TBS) via Global Combat Support Services-Marine Corps.

· Oversee the PM and CM as required on the customer owned equipment which is used to maintain and operate in accordance with the customer SOP.

· Follow, support, recommend, maintain, and update as required, the SOP.

· Assist program offices in vehicle maintenance within customer facilities.

· Develop, provide input, and submit for review, documentation required to meet contract obligations.

· Supervision - Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special

assignments. May supervise the activities of others.

· Problem Solving - A seasoned, experienced professional with strong problem solving skills

and problem resolution is based on a broad base of business knowledge

· MS Office & Flowcharting - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio. Familiar with several common

drawing techniques using Visio or UML

Required Education and Experience:

· 7-9 years of experience working in a military transportation and / or maintenance facility

· Certified Diesel Mechanic

· The ability to obtain certifications / licenses to operate/drive/demonstrate equipment including GME Vehicles and Military Tactical Vehicles and Equipment.

· Ability to maintain assigned vehicles and equipment

· Possess or are able to obtain a valid OF-346 U.S Government Motor Vehicle and Equipment Operators Identification Card.

· Complete off-road driver's training at NATC.

· Complete all required training provided by the Government to include:

· Automatic Emergency Defibrillator (AED)

· First responder and First Aid

· Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

· Natural Resources Environmental Affairs Annual Storm Water

· Dispatching

· Hazmat compatibility, storage, and accumulations

· Information Awareness

· Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and SharePoint

· Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License and current medical certificate

· Security Clearance Requirements -Must be able to maintain a Secret security clearance.

· Travel Requirements - Travel is anticipated for training purposes.
