What’s a typical day as an IT Sourcing Associate? You’ll be:Leading negotiations for contractual and commercial terms for complex IT Agreements including Master Services Agreements, Software as a Service Agreements and Software Licensing Agreements
In conjunction with IT Category Managers and Internal Stakeholders, fully understanding business objectives and translating them into sourcing strategies to support those objectives
Leading moderate to highly-complex competitive sourcing events and supplier negotiations; determining appropriate methods of procurement; soliciting bids, quotations and proposals; evaluating competitive offerings and recommending overall best offer for a product or service
Reviewing and critically assessing business specifications and statements of work
Delivering sourcing projects from commencement through to contract execution
Supporting IT Category Managers in delivery of Category Plan strategies, sourcing and productivity opportunities
Working with Legal Resources to articulate specific contractual areas of concern; assessing and understanding which contract terms are Legal Issues vs Business Issues
Strategically negotiating business and enterprise-level Legal Terms and Conditions with Suppliers and Service Providers
Applying analytics to ensure compliance by preferred suppliers and with contract terms; providing analytical tools to support management of preferred suppliers
Supporting Business Partnering & Strategy in communicating purchasing policies and procedures to users when needed
Maintaining effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, helping resolve escalated quality problems; helping identify measurements for improvement and target-setting
Coordinating, reviewing and responding to supplier inquiries
Supporting Business Partnering & Strategy in managing preferred suppliers using company Supplier Management methodology and compliance requirements
Managing selected internal and external relationships with suppliers, cross-functional and/or multi-functional teams
This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:A bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree is preferred
6+ years of relevant industry experience; US military experience will be considered toward industry and professional experience requirements
Proficiency in IT procurement; specifically, IT Services Agreements and Software/SaaS Licensing Agreement, contract negotiations, managing contract development and compliance
Demonstrated ability to partner with and manage internal stakeholders at all levels within a highly matrixed organization, working across cross-functional, cross-organizational teams
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Power Point and Excel
Knowledge of and proficiency with Icertis Contract Management Application (preferred)
Relevant industry certifications (e.g. Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified Technology Procurement Executive (CTPE) or Certified Technology Procurement Specialist (CTPS)) preferred
